Badotherm diaphragm seals with Tantaline surface alloy technology Since recently, Badotherm diaphragm seals and thermowells are available with Tantaline innovative tantalum vapor technology solution. Available on any design, threaded or flanged, Tantaline treated diaphragm seals offer higher corrosion resistance than Hastelloy, titanium, zirconium and tantalum metal diaphragm seals. The diaphragm seals (typically the lower housing), become the most corrosion and acid resistant diaphragm seal assemblies available for use in hot acids like hydrochloric acid (HCl), sulfuric acid (H2SO4), acetic acid, sour gas (H2S) and nitric acid. Tantaline achieves this by growing a tantalum surface alloy into the stainless steel diaphragm seal lower housing. The result is the Tantaline treated diaphragm seal housing have unmatched corrosion and acid resistance at costs less than other specialty corrosion resistant metals and polymers. Corrosion Resistant Diaphragm Seals for Hot Acids Tantaline offers the highest corrosion performance and the lowest costs when compared to nickel alloys (Hastelloy and Inconel), titanium, zirconium and tantalum metal instruments in challenging corrosive environments.
